Today is the second day of the Deyata Kirula exhibition which is being held at Pallekele in Kandy.
Large crowds have been reported at the exhibition which was inaugurated by President Rajapaksa yesterday. The exhibition is being held in an area of 60 acres which belongs to the Kandy International Buddhist Centre, the office complex of the Central Province Chief Minister and Pallekele Open Prison Camp. There are 1200 belonging to the government. The exhibition grounds have been divided into 9 zones for the convenience of the public. The entrance is free for students who arrive in the exhibition grounds in their uniforms. A special cultural event is also being held at night. President Mahinda Rajapakse made an inspection tour of the exhibition grounds yesterday. Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya issued a commemoration stamp to mark the exhibition yesterday.
