VO A group of students and teachers from Japan complete their visit to Laos under the JENESYS2.0 project
INTRO: A group of students and teachers from Japan have completed their visit to Laos under the JENESYS2.0 project, where they joined Lao students to learn traditional dances and songs, origami and share the art of oratory.
STORY: The visiting teachers who took part in the JENESYS2.0 project were welcomed by the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union during their stay in Laos from November 4-11, 2014.
This group of more than 40 people from Japan included teachers, students, cooperators and translators. Their activities included contempory dance, traditional dance, origami, singsong sessions and other activities designed to build solidarity between the peoples of Laos and Japan.
During their stay, the Japanese students visited schools in Vientiane including Vientiane Secondary school, Vientiane – Ho Chi Minh Friendship Secondary school and Phonthan Secondary School.
Before the departure of the Japanese volunteers, the participants held a meeting at the Lanexang Hotel to discuss the merits of the programme and how it can be further improved.
More than 100 people joined the meeting and contributed to the discussion on how relations between the peoples of Laos and Japan can be further improved.
