Greek govt. asked people to reject intl. creditors’ demands

Greek voters have cast their ballots in a referendum on whether to accept harsher austerity in exchange for more rescue loans.
The voters were asked to decide on the latest proposals by Greeceā€™s international creditors. The anti-austerity government had urged the people to reject the proposed terms to push for a better bailout package. Speaking at a polling station, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said that Greeks are determined to decide their own destiny and that no one can ignore their resolve. Tsipras and Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis hailed the referendum saying the Greeks should have their say.
