Euro-goup ministers will meet in Brussels throughout the day – Greece’s Finance Minister claims a bailout deal is close as euro-zone bond markets suffer volatility while investor patience runs low.
The high importance Australian NAB Business Confidence for April is the first report on our agenda and is due to be released on Monday morning at 1:30am GMT. While last month’s survey found a 3-point improvement in confidence, economists warned the recovery was weak and patchy.
The eagerly awaited Bank of England interest-rate and asset-purchase decisions will be released at 11am. The central bank’s Monetary Policy Committee had its two-day meeting last week and delayed the decisions because of the U.K.’s general election on May 7.
Aussie releases provide the first and last events for this run-down, with Australian Home Loans for March expected at 1:30am. Just this week some of Australia’s biggest banks have been under attack for failing to fully pass on the RBA’s interest rate cut to home loan customers
